How can I change the default "C:\Program Files" to something else?

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion, and modifty the string ProgramFilesDir from "C:\Program Files" to whatever you want it to be. There's no guarantee that all the setup programs will read this value, but most will.
